Privacy policy

This policy explains what TechVise collects, why we use it and the choices available to you.

Last updated 27 August 2026

Who controls your information

TechVise, 32 High Street, Bagshot, Surrey GU19 5AZ, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and during a repair. You can contact us at info@techvise.co.uk or on 01276 474643.

Information we collect

  • Your name, telephone number and optional email address when you request a repair.
  • The device, model, repair, preferred appointment time, handover method and notes you submit.
  • Repair records, estimates, work completed, parts used, warranty information and communications needed to manage the job.
  • Basic website usage information if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Technical security information needed to prevent spam and misuse of the booking form.
  • Your optional choice about receiving occasional repair tips and TechVise offers.

Please do not enter a device passcode, payment-card information or other sensitive personal information in the website notes. Provide a passcode securely at handover only when testing genuinely requires it.

Why we use it

We use booking and repair information to respond to your request, confirm availability, provide and manage the repair, contact you about the job, keep appropriate warranty and business records, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. These uses are necessary to take steps at your request, perform our agreement with you, comply with legal duties and operate our repair service responsibly.

Analytics is optional. We load Google Analytics only after you choose “Accept” on the cookie notice.

Services that process information for us

  • Web3Forms delivers website repair enquiries to TechVise and provides form-spam controls.
  • RepairDesk is used to manage customer, appointment and repair-job information once the website integration is enabled.
  • Google Analytics measures consented website usage and booking events.
  • hCaptcha helps distinguish genuine enquiries from automated spam.
  • Hostinger hosts the website and its server logs.

These providers process information under their own security and privacy terms. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom using recognised transfer safeguards.

Cookies and analytics

The website stores a consent cookie so it remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies and receive page and interaction information such as booking starts, successful enquiries, calls and WhatsApp clicks. We do not include customer names, phone numbers, email addresses or repair notes in analytics events.

You can change your choice by clearing the site cookies in your browser and revisiting the website.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed to manage the enquiry and repair, provide warranty support, resolve disputes and meet tax, accounting or other legal requirements. Spam-control and technical logs are kept for shorter operational periods where possible.

Sharing and marketing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers needed to operate the website or repair service, where required by law, or where you ask us to do so. A repair enquiry does not sign you up for unrelated marketing.

We may send a service follow-up after a completed repair to check that everything is working and invite an honest review. We do not offer rewards for reviews or ask only satisfied customers. We send promotional repair tips or offers by SMS or email only where you have chosen to receive them or another lawful basis applies. You can opt out at any time using the instructions in the message or by contacting TechVise.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for a copy of your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing. Contact TechVise using the details above. If you remain concerned, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, spam protection and server-side handling for private integration credentials. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please contact us promptly if you believe information has been misused.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the booking flow, service providers or legal requirements change. The latest revision date appears at the top.
